Did you know that the Department of Defense runs STARBASE Academy, primarily for fifth graders, to increase their knowledge, skills, attitute and confidence in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) fields. The program provides 25 hours of experiences where students participate in hands-on activities that meet or exceed the National Standards.
The academy works with school districts to serves students that are socially/economically disadvantaged, are located inner cities, gateway cities, or rural locations, or are of low academic performance or have a disability.
