Clark University's Splash program provides students, in grades 5-12, a chance to learn while taking classes taught by Clark University student volunteers. Classes cover a wide variety of topics including the Arts, Humanities, Math & Computer Science, and Science. Students can join The Clark Key's A Cappella group, learn about DNA, take a yoga class, explore the topic of black holes and outer space, learn how to overcome challenges to achieve their goals, take a self defense class, learn how to design an escape room, and so much more.

Introductory classes are on a large array of topics including Learn How to Compose Music using Noteflight, an online composing software; Everyday Physics Experiments; and Fashion, GenZ and the Future Marketplace. Middle and High School teams have six hours to search for cybersecurity vulnerabilities and secure the system through a virtual image. Teams scores from the first two competition rounds will determine their placement in one of three tiers for the State Rounds. After the State Round, top teams will advance to the Semifinals. Those advancing from the Semifinals will receive an all-expenses paid trip to Baltimore, Maryland where they will compete in the National Finals. Winners of the National Finals will receive scholarship grants.

Kids work in teams from two to four members, if you don't have your own team don't worry, they will help set you up to find others to work with. Coding experience is not necessary, there will be workshops to teach the basics. Teams also need designers, artists, and writers!

Learn about the latest marine science and oceanographic research at the 2018 Ocean Literacy Summit, hosted by the University of Massachusetts Boston and Northeastern University Marine Science Center on November 15 & 16, 2018. Join the New England Ocean Science Education Collaborative and attend a workshop or field trip, attend speaker sessions, explore at the science and education fair, network at the Science Cafe, enjoy the ocean themed art show or have fun while trying to win prizes at the Trivia Hour.

Northeastern University has opened registration to their fall Waterfall program for High School Students. They invite students on campus for this two day event to attended FREE classes taught by Northeastern University students. Join the Science Squad and participate in interactive experiments, design and engineer a contraption for a Reverse Egg Drop, ponder the Philosophy of the Good Life, and learn How (not) to Die in a Chemistry Lab.
